The Grafton Water District is pleased to announce its partnership with Winston Builders for the construction of these projects — one at the Worcester Street site and the other at East Street site. The Worcester Street Plant will treat PFAS, iron, and manganese — the minerals responsible for brown water discoloration — while the East Street Plant will focus solely on PFAS removal. Together, these facilities will greatly improve overall water quality and ensure the continued delivery of safe, reliable drinking water to the community.

On October 29, 2025, representatives from Grafton Water District, Winston Builders, and Tighe & Bond met at the Worcester St site to begin developing project timelines and next steps for the construction of two new PFAS Water Treatment Plants.

While site work will begin this winter at the Worcester Street location with site preparation and utility work. An official groundbreaking ceremony for The Worcester St facility is planned for spring 2026.
