In June 2024, the Grafton Water District Commissioners approved a series of four quarterly 10% water rate increases, beginning with the October 2024 billing cycle. In response to ongoing brown water concerns, one of the increases was suspended by vote in November 2024.
The Fourth 10% rate increase will take effect with the October 2025 billing. This increase is necessary to begin funding design and permitting expenses related to PFAS treatment as we continue addressing long-term water quality and regulatory requirements.
