Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as these important improvements are carried out. Our contractor is working hard to complete the project in a safe and timely manner, and we appreciate your support while this work is underway.

Construction at East Street Location:

As part of the filtration upgrade process, large precast concrete backwash tanks have been installed at the East Street construction site.

These tanks must be placed first because the existing tanks are located within the footprint of the new building and will be removed as part of the project.

Each tank has a capacity of 40,000 gallons of backwash water. The units were assembled in sections and carefully lowered into place using a crane.

Construction at Worcester Street Location:

At our Worcester street pfas water treatment construction site, the contractor has installed silt fence, removed all the trees and brush and started to layout and grub for the building foundation. Both the East street and Worcester street PFAS water treatment plants will be built simultaneously. More pictures will follow as the building construction continues.
