We’re excited to share great progress on an important investment in Grafton’s water system!
As part of our future PFAS treatment plant on Follette Street, we’re currently constructing a new 12-inch water main that will transport water from the Trinity Avenue well to the new treatment facility.
Here’s the exciting news: By strategically bidding this project earlier this spring—before construction of the treatment plant even begins—the Grafton Water District was able to take advantage of a favorable bidding climate. The result? More than $400,000 in savings while still delivering the high-quality infrastructure our community deserves!
Construction is expected to take approximately three months, and we’re happy to report that the project is on schedule and on budget.
This critical infrastructure is another important step toward completing the new PFAS treatment system and strengthening our water system for years to come.
